Sculptor: Jeff Browen Company: Screamin' Scale: 1/6 Material: porcelain Date Completed: 3/15/98 Comments: Now this was a really fun piece to work with. A cold cast porcelain work that needed no preparation other than a coat of primer; this was a painter's delight! Mr. Browen did an excellent job and the piece comes alive as you paint it. Her cape flows like water around her and I tried to paint it as such. It took only a few hours to complete from box to display shelf, but it is quite an eye-catcher. Speaking of eyes, another way to achieve a realistic effect is to paint your model ladies' eyes as if they are wearing make-up, e.g., liner and shadow. Unpainted they look less real. Go figure. |
