Murai Ninja II

Check it out to see some info on the character source. I did both models at the same time to save time on brush cleaning and paint mixing. It was very apparent that Takayuki Takeya had taken the first piece apart and used many of its components to build this second sculpture. The pose is much more dramatic and the base is one of the best I've seen. The cyborg creature with the horse head has his mechanical guts exposed and I had a lot of fun painting all the electrical wires different colors. The brown of the ground is the base coat I used with a little dry brushing to give it some texture. This quick technique allowed my to spend most of my time on the details which is what catches the eye, and makes the model look sharp. Check out the front view of the base below.
