Sculptor: Takayuki Takeya Company: unknown Scale: 1/6 Material: resin Date Completed: 3/28/98 Comments: What can I say? One of my favorite pieces in my collection and another by Takayuki Takeya. That leopard head was so damn intimidating that this model sat in the box for years until I thought I had the talent to do it. I started with a coat of bone white and added successive coats of darkening hues of yellow to get the effect I wanted. I then detailed the ears, eyes, and whiskers with black and then a little wash of white above the eyes. The spots were done with a thin brown wash in controlled little drops. I still walk by this one and get amazed that I did it. I love this hobby!
