Comments: This is the second model, following on the footsteps of the Thing, of my renewed efforts in modeling as an adult. I had yet to learn about dry brusing or air brushing when I did this one which hopefully excuses to some extent the rather basic paint job. My first effort at his face had him looking like a green clown with white teeth and eyes that almost seemed to glow in the midst of his face. This was corrected by simply using a green wash to subtly hue the teeth and eyes to blend them into the rest of the face. A wash is made by diluting your paint to a thin mixture using either water or denatured alcohol. This adds a fine sheen of color to the raised areas and soaks into the cracks bringing out textures and reliefs. Every model is a learning experience.
