Sculptor: Oluf W. Hartvigson Company: Horizon Scale: 1/6 Material: vinyl Date Completed: 1995 Comments: Without a doubt one of the best of the Spider-Man sculptures! Hats off to Mr. Hartvigson for capturing the essence of Spidey. Another great model for a beginner. It goes together with minimal putty work, but I would advise you do it very carefully to preserve the excellant lines of the model. Next, paint the reds and blues followed by the black and white of the eyes. The trick of the webbing is to use a fine line indelible black marker pen instead of trying to paint them, unless your hands are a lot steadier than mine. I finished it with a clear gloss after giving the ink plenty of time to dry. This keeps the ink from being smudged. He is presently velcroed to the top of the TV in my hobby room, keeping the ole Green Goblin from grabbing my remote control. These two would make a great diorama and maybe one day I'll try it. If so, you'll see the results here. |
