Comments: Now who doesn't remember this movie? Jason and the Argonauts was one of my favortie movies as a child. It came out when I was only ten (put down them calculators!) and the scene with Talos and the other with the fighting skeletons still stick in my mind to this date. The stop-motion animation done by the master of that art, Ray Harryhausen, is even in these days of computer generated graphics, amazing. I painted Talos using a black base coat followed by a bronze/gold dry brush. I finished it using a black/green wash to give Talos a patina look. Two other things to check out. Notice the boat's small figurehead which points backwards as in the movie. And if you look carefully, you'll note that the oars of the Argo are actually toothpicks which I soaked in a wood stain.
