The Sundance Oasis

You head towards the palm trees you saw, you hope you have made the right choice. You stumble onwards, tripping over rocks and sinking into the sand. You begun to concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other. It is very hot. You look up and see that you are close to stepping into a pool of water. You kneel down and reach to dip you hands into the water. You are surprised when your hands touch the surface, the water is real! You thought it was a mirage! You you lower you head into the water, you take huge slurps of the live giving water.You have found the oasis.

You are refreshed from your drink. After sitting in the shade for awhile you decide to explore. You notice small foot prints in the sand. You decide to follow them.

Your search leads you back towards the desert sands. You are going to give up the search if it means going back out into the sun. Then you hear a small chirp behind you. You turn around and find yourself staring at a small silver creature that looks like a a small dragon without wings. Before you can say anything or move a step closer you hear the word Gm~dygr in your head and the creature disappears. You walk back towards the pool. Thinking about the small creature and wondering what the word Gm~dygr means.

You sit down by the pool to think. A few minutes later you hear rustling coming from the bushes to your left. You watch the bushes part as another creature steps into the open.

“Um, hello”, you say.

"I hatched from a drigus egg which means I do not have a genotype so I can not mate.” She explains.

"I'm a adult now so I've got some responsibility. The desert is now a home to three more drigus.They where living here,but this small oasis was getting too small. they have moved to the bigger Skyfire Oasis. There are others living around though. I can take you to meet K'yana. Or maybe Mayth is up to a visit.

Awhile later you are walking around the oasis talking with the drigus Rytrina. “Have you seen S’ryh?” She asks you. “Maybe”, you answer,” What type of creature is S’ryh?”

“S’ryh is a Gm~dygr”, she tells you. You recognise the word, it is what you heard when you saw the silver creature. “Gm~dygr’s look like small dragons without wings.” she continues.

“I’ve seen him”, you tell Rytrina. “ You’re lucky”, she tells you,” Not many people see him, he must have felt he could trust you. I gota go, but if you want you can look at some pictures of S’ryh and me. Please come back to visit some time soon!” Rytrina tell you this then leaves. You notice the pictures she was talking about. They are pined to a palm tree.
