Yyl'Nectrose and Yyl'Nector As A quick forenote: I have oftentimes tried to describe Yyl'Nector, but many words that I wish to use in the description either do not exist here,cannot be explained well or I do not remember. For me it just seems like something that one *has* to go see to properly experiance, as even in my memories do not seem to capture the whole effect of it's beauty nor it's magnificance. For me to simply describe it I would have to say "Paradise". Nothing I would say here would give it justice and most of those that had visited agree with me on that point. My Homeworld has a lot of names, probably from the many people that either live there and those that come visit. It is known as Yyl'Nector,Yyl'nectaar and by my family it has been called Nectaar and Nector (could be nicknames or used when speaking informally:). The one thing that I remember most vividly about it and something almoast everyone remembers once they have been there is the way the air smells, as if there were a thousand flowers growing all the time, giving the breezes there an almoast heavenly scent. What causes the air to smell like that I do not know, but there do seem to be a lot of flowers, at least in the places where I dwelt. The Land is green and very alive, the stars at night plentiful, the colors vivid. There were Mountains, of an enourmes size, and green lush valleys where people dwellt. There were forests and hills, lakes and oceans probably too. Yet there was something Unique about Nature there, about everything there, it was as if everything had its own shimmer, it's own glittery effect as if sparkling by some unseen force. That caused everything to look magnificent, and I do not know the cause for it. The Magic there was higher then here, it made it easear for me to breathe in the air, it made me feel more alive, it felt so different that I lack the words. For us Magick seemed to have been mainly done with our minds. Magickally i remember that many of us were highly skilled in empathy, telepathy and other such skills, but then that could have been just my family. We have a high skill for manipulative magick, especially in areas of weather and time. The time thing we all seem to be able to do natrually, which causes time to go wacky around most from our world. We used it well enough to slow time enough to give us approximatly 2 human years for everyone of our days. This affected our lifespans considerable, especially if on our own world. When my father was a kid, I am certain there were still dinosours on this world, and he is not even the equivilant of human 45 years yet. We also seem to normally have long lifespans, as I heared many people refering to their parents being over 3000 Yyl'nectrose years old, and well still being parents with kids who have not yet reached maturity. I heared at 148 - 200 some years old you are still a kid, in your teens. So long lifespans, mainly due to the time mojo there. The weather skill is strong too, which allows us, if we conciously work on it, as a race to totally avoid strong storms and natrual disasters in our valley. (during the war I was lost out in the wilderness for a few weeks, and that was the first time that that enchantment over our world was broken. It stormed, in the way of a thunderstorm and I got scared, for in all of my life there I had never looked upon a greyish storm cloud.) I have no clue how the plants were so vibrant without storms, though I am certain there was rain:)> Sadly I do not remeber a lot about the culture there, I do remember that as a people we were very formal and Family seemed to have been very important.As family was important I got to spend more time with them there many children do here. I know they loved me, their love is one of the things I miss the most, my loving mother with her shapeshifting ability. My Father had always been strict and he was very determined to get the best for his little girl:), yet even if he seemed cold to the outside observer he cares so much that even a war and worlds of seperation do not deter him from what he wants. There also seemed to have been some contact with earth at least, for there were many of our teenagers/younger people who were into the earthen cultures/ways. I am certain that we may have picked up one or two traditions from here from that period of time:). Something which we did not get from earthen western cultures, is the ban on marrying more then one person or the taboo that a person you marry canot be a part of your own family. We had no such bans nor taboos, and even some of the royalties in our area and sourrounding ones practiced it occasionally with even the raising of any eyebrows. The Government of Yyl'Nector is a Monarchy. There is I guess the Equivilant of a king and a Queen, but I think that the are not excactly the same as here on earth. Succession is by blood as far as I know. I do not know if there are any councils, etc, but I think there may have been people that advised the ruling family. Ruling as many things there was more looked upon as being a family duty, where every member of the Royal family helps, not Just the current Ruler. His Mate/wife (Unsure if the realtionships there are the same or not), and even the children help out. The most wellknown residence is a large crystal palace, where the Royal family lives and where court is held. It seemed from the outside as if made of crystal, and stood in the middle of a gorgeous valley, sourrounded by tall mountains. Once inside though, there was stone and other materials as well, and it did not seem out of crystal from the inside. It was literally huge, as I recall that some of the middleclass houses here would have been considered even by many who lived in our villages to be small. I have talked to others who have come to visit the palace and they spoke of indoor gardens, hallways big enough for a krenar dragon to fly through (they get up to 25 ft tall), and some half a million folks traveling through/living there/working there at some times, as it is the seat of government for many lower courts. There was also talk that many of our departments were all in the same building, such as defence, agriculture and stuff like that. Also others I spoke to, if they remembered nothing of that whole world they remembered that palace, as it seemed to have been a focal point of visitors who came to the world. Everyone that has visited, mostlikely has either seen it or heared of it at some point of time. There was lots of networking, mainly through trading. As we had many races living there, and many gates to other worlds there were many diplomatic relations with other races/worlds. These Gates were linked to Places like Krenar (a draconian world), Earth and maybe Olympus as well as the Tir. Our relations include but are not limeted to the Charonish Empire, Krenar, the Gi'riit (Charonish name for them), the Fae'rii, and a fae race. There were Unicorns in Yyl'nector as well. Yet unlike in legends here they were not just of white color, but also in brown. There may have been black ones too, and even others, but a brown one is all I remeber seeing, with reddish-brown fur, a black mane and tail and a white star upon it's forhead where the horn was at. I donot recall the color of the horn. For the Achitecture crystal was used as building materials... at least at the main palace, yet it was not a common material. I Do not remember what common material was. The buildings seemed larger more spacious. Clothing was of thin, sometimes partially of see-through cloth, which allowed us to wear our national outfits that were usually long. As the climate over there was tropical to subtropical (between 75 degrees and 95 degrees), would we have worn thick cloth we would have been too hot. So we wore thin stuff. Even though some of the clothing was revealing at times to our figures, it was not extravegantly so, but rather much of the see through cloth was on the sleeves of gowns, the bottom parts of pants the stomach area, neckline and such forth.
