I swatted at a moth that fluttered around my room. I planned to let it outside as soon as I wrapped up the conversation with my best friend, Emily.
"So have you found anybody yet?" Emily's voice asked over the phone.
"I'm not sure... but I do have some suspects" I replied glancing around. "I didn't mean Andalites I meant someone you have a crush on!" Emily giggled. I laughed too.
"Oh! I'm sorta obsessed with Andalites at the moment. I slipped up tonight." I said turning serious. " Something strange happened while I was baby-sitting and I just slipped. God I hope no one caught on."
"Don't worry about it." Emily assured. "And you still didn't answer my question."
I could just picture Emily's grin as I said, "Well there is this guy in my science class named Devon..." Emily chuckled as I went on.
"And there is the guy I met at my baby-sitting gig. He's really cute. His name is" Emily cut me off.
"UGH! I gotta go my mom is screaming at me to get off." We said goodbye quickly and hung up.
I figured I would cruise the neighborhood and see where the yeerk spots were since my parents wouldn't be home till late. I thought for a second then decided a bat would be the right morph for tonight. I sat down and concentrated. Abruptly, I began to shrink and at the same time my arms twisted and lengthened. My skin stretched to cover my bones. My whole body crunched and I was a bat.
Feeling a sudden hunger I unconsciously used echolocation and noticed the fluttering moth I had swatted minutes before. It was embarrassing but I lost control of the animal mind and swooped down to gobble the moth. My aim was off and I only nipped a leg but what frightened me was that the moth thought to me, "Stop!"
I immediately changed back and said, "You know Tobias I don't appreciate being spyed on."
