The Future
shattered hopes, withering dreams
I look to the future and these are not the things I see
but neither do I see
happiness and joy
or a fulfilling and happy life
when I look to the future
the only thing that I can see
is nothingness staring right back at me
my future is blank and empty
I can not see what I'm supposed to be
so heaven, or god, or destiny
give me a sign
show me my purpose
give my life the direction that it craves
and desperately needs
