EZRA STANDISH
(The Gambler)
Ezra Standish is the Gambler (cheat?? *G*) in the 'Seven'. He is also the one that most would, perhaps unfairly, trust least!
Ezra will turn most situations to his advantage, if at-all possible! He manages to hide this behind a certain southern charm but the others' patience often wears thin. He and Nathan have never quite found their common bond, and although they will defend each other, they are not exactly friends!
Ezra, to be fair, does have a very caring side and he normally ends up doing 'the right thing' in the end. He is no way near as self-serving as his mother, Maude, with whom he has a very mixed relationship!
Ezra feels that Maude deserted him as a mother when he was growing up! She taught him how to gamble and hussle but not, as he feels, to be a man!! She, undoubtedly, does love him in her own way, and he loves her!! They tend, however, to aggrivate each other, when in each others' company for too long!
Ezra carries a .45 up his sleeve.....along with the odd Ace!!.
