(This is the personal journal of Bryan Stone, leader of Cyberspace Task Force GammaRanger, for June 17, 1998: The time is drawing near for the biggest battle of our lives. Not only do the Namrocks have a giant robot for the DaemonRangers, but the Rangers used its advanced weapons to nearly finish us! We have had to stay at Scottie's to evaluate our progress, until a Balzac atack was reported by our scanners. I think there's something not right about it. And the story continues...)
(The scene: Downtown Tradewinds, where our last episode left the GammaRangers and the Balzac, and a strange warning as a cannon is being readied to fire.)
RedJupiter: A trap? Who told you?
GreenMars: I can't explain! Not here! We have to get out of here before...
(A laser is fired from the Daemon Navigator.)
... before something like that happens!
RedJupiter: Ranger file, transload!
(The six Rangers are teleported to the SkyStation just in the nick of time. Cut to the Navigator.)
DaemonFire: Damn! I missed!
Galevan: (furiously) What do you mean, you missed?
DaemonRock: Cool it, you two! We'll get them when they hit the Station!
Galevan: They're there already. Fire again!
(The charge up for another blast. Cut to the Station.)
Bryan: So, who tipped you off?
Eric: It was Jill.
Amy: But how could she know that we were in danger?
Scottie: She could only have known that if she knew our secret.
Laura: That we were GammaRangers?
Scottie: Exactly.
Amy: Wait... Scottie's house. You think she heard us?
Scottie: It's the only way she would have known.
Eric: I'm getting a bad feeling about this. What if she's one of the Daemons?
Bryan: That would explain everything. I mean, what sensible person would be in a battle scenario? (a pause) Exactly.
Amy: Looks like we know what to do.
(The room rocks with the aftershocks of another blast.)
Scottie: We're being fired at!
Sei: (falls to the ground) unnh...
Bryan: Sei! What's wrong? Is it the blast?
Sei: Worse! My powers are failing!
Laura: She's destabilized. Can't we reenergize her?
Bryan: That's no longer an option. Prepare for evasive maneuvers.
(Bryan flies the SkyStation to the link point.)
Sei, stay here on the Station until we can think of something.
(The Rangers teleport out and back to the safety of Scottie's house.)
Ranger shutdown! (Rangers revert) Something tells me that Jill knows how we can help Sei.
Scottie: Looks like we oughta pay her a little visit...
(They go inside and call Jill for a possible rendezvous. Cut to Jill's house and all of the DaemonRanger.)
Spoony: Where the hell were you?
Jill: That's not important.
Sara: Right about that. The important thing is that you weren't there. What were you thinking.
Jill: I was with Eric.
Eddie: What does Eric have to do with this?
Jill: Eric's one of them. (pause) He's a GammaRanger.
Spoony: She's crazy. The GammaRangers are scourges of the world. They're the greatest evil threat we know. They're...
Jill: They're human, like us!
Spoony: I think it was a trick. Jill, you'll believe anything. Now let's go. Galevan has an idea.
(The four go through a Digiwindow to the Satellite.)
Rhexus: Welcome back, DaemonRangers.
Eddie: Yeah, whatever. Where's Galevan?
Galevan: I'm here. (looks at Jill) You disappoint me.
Jill: For being absent to one battle? Excuse me, but I had a previous engagement!
Galevan: I don't care! You are supposed to be battle ready at all times! Like the rest of you! You band together, no matter what!
(While Galevan rants about what being a team is all about, Jill sneaks away and activates a Digiwindow to Scottie's house.)
Jill: (knocking frantically at Scottie's door) Hello? Eric? Scottie? ANYONE!!!
Scottie: (opening the door) Jill, we were just going to see you.
Eric: I'll take care of this. Jill, come in, please. (Jill enters) I have to thank you for the early warning you gave me.
Jill: Yeah... (trying to get the words out) You... You're probably wondering how... how I knew.
Amy: We had a pretty good idea.
Bryan: Maybe we should talk.
(Cut to the Satellite.)
Galevan: ... and as leader of the DaemonRanger, I won't tolerate anything less than what I expect. Do you get me, Users?
Spoony: (whispering to his side) This is your fault, Jill...
(Nothing.)
Jill?
Galevan: Where is DaemonWater?
Eddie: You think I know?
Galevan: You three had better get her back here, or her fate will be yours!
Sara: Aren't you even going to help us?
Galevan: Why should I? I have more pressing engagements to tend to. (exits.)
Eddie: Can someone tell me what that was all about?
Sara: Call me crazy, but he just yelled at us.
Eddie: Whoa. Brain child! I mean for what? We're as much part of the team as he is.
Spoony: I don't know about you, but I"m starting to have my doubts. I mean, no one yells like that to me! No even my mother!
(Cut back to Scottie's house, Bryan just explained to Jill the entire story of the Namrock virus, his coming to our time, the Gammaproject, and the origin of GammaRanger.)
Bryan: ... and ever since then we five have been fighting the viral forces of Namrock under the guise of GammaRanger for the protection of peace on Earth.
Jill: Sounds a little too weird. (pauses) But I can't help but understand everything!
Eric: Huh?
Jill: No, I mean, really! I believe that there is a balance between Userspace and Cyberspace. It's up to you to protect that balance.
Scottie: You know, I never thought of it that way.
Bryan: Me neither. And I created the GammaRanger files.
Amy: Wait just one second. There's still something you've left out. The DeamonRanger. You're one of them, aren't you?
Laura: Way to put it subtlely.
Jill: No, I deserve it. I am a DaemonRanger. I'm sorry I put you guys through this. I thought that...
Bryan: It's okay. You didn't know. The important thing now is getting your friends back.
Laura: And saving Sei. Where do we start?
Scottie: I'm having a crazy idea. Jill, your transmorphing device... May I see it?
Jill: Sure, but... (activates and removes her Daemon Loader and hands it over to Scottie) ... I don't know what you would want with it.
Scottie: It's simple. Sei was disabled because of her lack of stability. This lack was caused by a lack of negative electron energy.
(The others listen attentively.)
You see, too much of one kind of electron energy can cause a destabilizing effect.
Bryan: That's why Sei was considered flawed! Because she has too much positron energy!
Scottie: That's right. So all we need is a ready source of negatron energy. Jill, do you think we can get the other three Daemon Loaders?
Jill: Are you crazy? I'd have to talk the others into thinking that you weren't evil first.
(Just as she says that, Bryan's Cyber Loader goes off.)
Bryan: It's an E-mail from Sei.

You guys have to hurry. My time is thinning, as is my life force.
(back to Bryan)
Bryan: We have to get those... Hold on. Another one.

Your brand of evil is about to end. If you dare, show up at the canyon outside of town. Let the sun set tonight and let the sun set on the GammaRanger regime!
the DaemonRangers.
Amy: At least we know where to find them.
Eric: So we fight?
Bryan: No. Whatever it takes, we have to get through to them.
(Cut to the canyons outside of town, twenty minutes later. The DaemonRanger lie in waiting for the GammaRanger to show up, once again wondering where DaemonWater is.)
DaemonAir: This is it. The one we've been waiting for.
DaemonRock: I hear footsteps. I'll look.
(DaemonRock steps from behind the giant mountain to see...)
Jill? Where the hell were you?
Jill: I was with Eric and his friends. (motions for them to come)
DaemonRock: Where are the GammaRangers?
RedJupiter: We're here.
DaemonRock: (signals the other DaemonRangers) This is a trick.
YellowVenus: Is it? We know everything, Eddie.
DaemonRock: I am DaemonRock of DaemonRanger. I was sent by Galevan... to exterminate you (draws his dirk).
GreenMars: Galevan is evil!
Other DaemonRangers: No! You are!
(They leap out to try and attack them.)
BlueNeptune: Watch it! Bryan, the subtle approach isn't working.
Jill: Eddie! Sara! Spoony! Please listen to me!
(Everyone focuses their attention on Jill.)
You guys have been tricked! I keep trying to tell you, but you never listen to me!
DaemonFire: And why not?
I mean, didn't you keep saying "I don't even know you people?" Attack them!
RedJupiter: Remember, don't fight them!
BlueNeptune: I have an idea. GammaClaw, download!
(Scottie transforms into BlueNeptune.)
If I'm right, then the jewel on the chest is the center of power. Too much will overload, meaning...
(He activates his GammaClaw and fires it at DaemonRock's breastplate.)
RedJupiter: You WEREN'T supposed to attack!
BlueNeptune: I'm not! I've set my Ranger Blaster to harmonic antivirus.
YellowVenus: Wait. I get what he's doing. GammaCharge, download!
GreenMars: GammaBlast, download!
(She activates her harmonic antiviral program on her GammaCharges and, as DaemonFire draws near her, punches the jewel out. GreenMars uses the GammaBlast to destroy the jewel.)
Galevan: (out of nowhere) What do you think you're doing?
RedJupiter: Exposing you for all the lies you've brought!
Galevan: Expose this! (fires at the GammaRangers and Jill. Jill is hurt.)
Jill: Help me!
(It must have been through Jill, but the DaemonRangers finally saw all the destruction that they have caused. The DaemonRangers revert.)
Eddie: All we wanted was to save the world.
Sara: Now we can't even save one person.
RedJupiter: Maybe you can, guys. Come with me.
Galevan: No way! I'll have you yet! Even if I have to do it myself!
(Galevan boards the Daemon Navigator to attack everyone. Cut to the Satellite.)
Namrock: What does that fool think he's doing?
Chouzo: Call me crazy, but I think he's going to fight everyone!
Namrock: (sighs) That Galevan was always one to cause trouble.
Chouzo: Oh! Oh! Can I dispatch the Balzac?
Namrock: NOT YET!
(Cut to the SkyStation. Both sets of Rangers are pesent with Koike and a vision of Sei's fading vital signs.)
Bryan: Amy, can you find out how bad it is?
YellowVenus: (uses GammaPrint) Thanks to my G-Cell, I can trace vital signs as long as there's an image.
Scottie: So what's the damage?
Amy: (taking off her helmet) You don't want to know...
Eddie: Is there anything we can do to help her?
Bryan: Believe me. By giving us your DaemonLoaders, you've done enough.
(From another side of the Station hall.)
Sara: So how will this work?
Scottie: I've hooked the Loaders up to this device to maximize the amount of negatron energy.
Laura: And all we have to do is point and shoot.
Spoony: Then let's do this. (they walk over to Sei)
All right, Bryan. We're ready.
(Everyone turns and faces Sei, who is lying on a bed with her helmet off.)
Sei: It's too late for me. When you finish... you must give the Grid Loader to someone else.
Eddie: Yep... I think we know who.
Koike: I'm picking up a disturbance in this area.
(The Station is shaken by laser fire.)
Eric: We can't do this here. DaemonRangers, Scottie, Laura, help me move her!
(The seven teens move Sei into another compartment of the Station, leaving Amy and Bryan to fight the Daemon Navigator.)
Amy: Evasive maneuvers?
Bryan: Not this time. This time we fight!
(Bryan uses the Station's MegaRush technique to speed under the Daemon Navigator. Cut to the cockpit.)
Namrock: (from the DWC) Galevan, get back to the satellite!
Galevan: But why, lord? I have the Rangers on the run!
Rhexus: Yeah, they're running all right. Right uder the ship!
(Bryan fires a round of lasers to the central power core of the Daemon Navigator and quickly escapes.)
Amy: All right, Bryan!
(The crew cheers as the Daemon Navigator combusts.)
Koike: I am pleased to report that the Daemon Navigator has been eliminated.
Scottie: (coming into the bridge) I am also pleased to report that, thanks to our friends, the powers of GridRanger have been neutralized.
Koike: And Sei?
Scottie: I'm sorry, lieutenant. We lost her. Before she was erased, though, she mentioned a window of opportunity to save the GridRanger powers by giving them to another.
(Laura, Eric, Eddie, Sara, and Spoony enter.)
Amy: Where's Jill?
Eddie: You know something... For once, we know exactly where Jill is.
(GridRanger enters and removes her helmet, revealing it to be Jill.)
Bryan: Jill's the new GridRanger?!
Jill: Well, I am wearing the uniform. (smirks) I'll explain on the way.
Eric: To where?
Jill: To your graduation!
Scottie: Aw, man! I completely forgot!
(The nine people, five of them graduates, head back to the ground for the joint graduation of MacDonald High and Tradewinds High.)
