my limbs weighted down
images floating past my eyes
a boy like the sun,

a lamp in the rain

like moon fairies 'round the moon

and the cello of my heart
makes lonely sounds
the cups of my eyes
full of tears
I fear losing you,
but my fear is a beast
I cannot tame

Since my love is not good enough
anymore
my lone wolf
I'm freeing you to hunt once again
I see you fall away
like a leaf
falling
onto the waters of my dreaming mind

I surface from these cloudy depths
to the feel of the sun on my back
and the warm smell of roses in my nostrils.
