Coming out into the light rain
which almost feels like a spray of sea mist,
Thick and rich
with the hidden shapes
of
intertwined seaweed and fantastical
creatures.
Sea mist which even now
makes me think of those
sweet summer days of endless blue skies
over Atlantic waves,
with Mom and Dad and Alex,
spending time on the beach,
waiting
to go back to Grandma's
to eat sausages and coleslaw,
in the backyard with the cicadas.
