Earth: Final Conflict: In Memory

Lili is in space when she is captured by a Jaridian ship. Next thing she knows, she has just awoken from a three-year coma and the Jaridians have wiped out the Taelons.

This episode could have been intriguing were it not for the fact that it's now a hoary old Science Fiction idea to have some kind of alien using a person's memories to find out information from them surreptitiously. Even the title gives the game away, and it would take a total idiot to not spot what's going on way before Lili does. More annoying is that the last revelation that we've been expecting all along takes place in the last two minutes of the episode, ending the action just as things finally get interesting.

It's good to see Lili back in action, however, even if the whole episode does nothing much to further her storyline. There are too many flashbacks to Sandoval's actions at the start of the season, and there are too many errors. Lili only remembers the first two lines of A Tale of Two Cities, so that is all that appears in the book. She only remembers the names of those who served with her in the SI Wars, hence their appearances alone on a plaque. So how come when she remembers writing 'Find Me' on her dogtags, it doesn't appear? Despite careful efforts, it is no doubt possible to uncover a few other glitches during the episode, one being why the finally-found Augur is wearing a suit. He's being treated well as a prisoner if he's allowed one of those.

To its credit, the episode does play well on Lili's confusion to mask the truth from the viewer as well, but it's all so transparent, unless you have never seen another Sci-Fi show in your life. It gets a bonus mark for actually being well-executed, but it's nothing we haven't seen before.
