Highlander: The Raven: 'The Frame'

Nick and Amanda are put in charge of delivering a painting, only for it to be stolen, leaving them as the prime suspects. Amanda soon realizes one of her old Immortal competitors is back in town, and the pair have unfinished business.

Actually on the right side of the law for a change, it's fun to see how Amanda reacts, determined to steal things other than the painting as she goes. The chemistry between Nick and Amanda seems to be more resolved than before, with the will-they won't-they aspect seemingly resolved in favour of won't-they. This allows a closer bond between them than before which brings more of a friendship to their relationship. Admittedly it'd still be nice to see them get together, but this way might work out better in the long run.

It's also good to see the return of Liam Riley, a great character who I've got a bad feeling about in regards to his imminent demise. As an alternative confidante to Lucy, he couldn't be more different, but he's a great character, knowing when to help and when to leave well alone. His chats with Nick to help him understand Amanda better are rather intriguing. Jade is also a fun character, very similar to Amanda and more than capable of outwitting her if needs be.

Unfortunately all of these characters are stuck in an instantly forgettable plot, which drags down some great character interaction and witty by-play. It's a shame, as this could have been much better.
