When a group of kids riots at a concert and puts two cops in critical condition, Cade suspects alien involvement.

Yes, it's that time at last. War of the Worlds did this idea twice, and now with a new undercover alien infiltration, it's time to drag it out of the woodwork all over again: the rock band whose tapes conceal mind-controlling radio waves. Now, this was topical in the 80's when there was a lot of talk about the evils of rock music, but now it's just dull.

That said, the story moves along at a fair old pace, one of the aliens isn't obvious, unlike the other one who is from the start, and... well, that's it really. You see, there's not actually a lot of substance going down here. Kids riot, the band gets some funky MTV-style shots and the aliens mill about a bit. There's no real interaction between Cade or any of the band members, and there's just something of a hole that's been strategically plugged by rock music.

That said, there are some top sounds on offer here, but that doesn't really hide the fact that it's trying to paper over a very large crack.
