- sixdegrees Someone came up with a theory that everyone in the world is only six degrees of relationship away from everyone else. Your cousin's boss's husband's friend's sister's aquaintance probalby knows you, or knows someone who is six degrees away from you. This site allows you to make contact with your friends and relations, and through them see the links to their friends and relations too. There are over 2 million members, and its growing all the time. It also lets you leave messages for your family and friends, and join groups with people of similar interests to yours.
- Africa Business Directory - specializing in promoting Africa-based exporters
- ChildNet - provides information on missing children
- Guestbook surfers - the official guestbook surfers' page. Many web pages, and especially personal ones, have guest books for you to sign. If you found a particular site interesting or useful, then you might find a common interest with people who sign the guestbook, so have a look at it, and follow some of the links. Guestbook surfing is like library shelf browsing - books on the same subjects are usually on the same shelf, and you might just find something you didn't know you were looking for. Oh yes, and have you signed our guest book yet?
- Human Sciences Research Council
- Post-Soviet and Eastern Europe
- Urban Legends - Arthur Goldstuck's page with links to urban legend sites around the world
- University of Natal - curriculums, student services etc.

- The Avenging Aardvark's Aerie These pages are a kind of memorial to the author, Ross Pavlac, who died in November 1997. They are personal pages, and yet far more than personal pages, and cover a a lot of different subjects and interests. One reason I like them and recommend them is that I seem to share a lot of interests with Ross Pavlac, and I'm glad that his pages remain on the web, so that he can still communicate with people. I'm sorry that I won't be able to take up his dinner invitation in this age, but perhaps in the age to come there will be a better feast... In the mean time, his pages still speak, and perhaps that's a better memorial than any tombstone. You can also read his obituary, written by his friends. I took his pages as a model for my own pages here, and I'd be happy if my pages were only half as good.
- Journals & Diaries - Do you keep a journal or diary? If you don't, this page might encourage you to begin a journal or diary now. If you do, this page will give you hints on how to improve your writing. If you don't know the difference between a journal and a diary, you'll find more here.
- St John's in the Village - a small
Anglican/Episcopal parish in New York City.
