Where Chat Sites

is a page of links that we utilize for chat rooms, writing, webpaging, books, movies, search engines and more.

Jokes and Humor Directory

I get them all the time. After some 5 years online, I've stashed quite a group. Several pages on jokes, riddles, sayings, wisdom. I've tried to make short, discript pages--ah, heck I'm sick. Cut me some slack. The funnies are there. *L*

The RIGHTS OF LEFTS -- left-hand info for right-handers too

Do you know which is your strong hand? Your strong foot? Are you sure? Visit for some information that explores right and left orientation. I dare you to take the tests! *S*

ANTIGONE is the full play by Sophocles, translated into English. She is a strong woman standing on her convictions despite the intimidating threats of a proud king.

PLUTARCH's SYLLA (aka Sulla ruler of Rome) prior to Julius Caesar. Some of the material is a bit graphic. Gladiator times were rough ages.

POEMS: This section is growing. Hopefully a few entries will tickle fancy. Edgar Allen Poe, Elizabeth Barret Browning, John Keats, William Wordsworth.

The BOOK Directory Mysteries are among my favorite. This past year, my group of beloved authors has grown. I'm finding that I'm catching up the the new ones. Janet Evanovich is terrific. But, she has only published six mystery novels. The next is months and months away--well, worth the wait. In the BOOK Directory, I have pages on authors, genres, software, Macintosh software, educational wares, and always a page or two more than my memory. It's always the way.

Search Engines

and start of Finance Info "Web" surf is strictly search engines and directories. "All-Surf" page includes far more, conveniently placed on one page.

Amazon Culture pages Nope, not Amazon the retailer. This is information on the Amazons and Women Warriors. Who were the Sarmatians--the warrior women with mates? Don't know? Have a peak. There is also a timeline for Augustus Caesar and more. Long Live The Legend of Queen Omphale'!

Online Books Sherlock Holmes, Heart of Darkness, Robinson Crusoe, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid. The list grows when the crimping in me poor fingers allow it.

This list is expanding.

Wizard of Oz page L. Frank Baum's tale

was 100 years old this April 2000. Did you know that Oliver Hardy from Laurel and Hardy played in the first black/white Oz movie? Check out the page. Oh, what a world, what a world.

The "For Dummies" Books Series

I was surprised to see so many eclectic titles. How many do you know? Dating for Dummies, Guitar for Dummies, Sex for Dummies, Carpentry, auto repair...

How-to Books / Videos

With costs stepping up, it helps to learn how-to this and that for yourself. From Carpentry to Camping, story crafting to Public speaking.

Cajun Cooking Recipe Page

Some like it hot. *G* I've included a little word on peppers and their benefits--and cures. Cajun Cooking is a fun way to better health. Well, it cured my clogged sinusitis! I'm still looking for a good chilli recipe that doesn't taste like a botanical garden.

Shareware. software

Several times my bookmarks exploded. To save myself grief, I built this page to help me surf my favorite places. This popping into and out of FOLDERS is annoying---not used to WINDOWS 98. At least, I jumped from WINDOWS 3.11 over the Win 95 thingy.

Be Good To Yourself
**I got my new computer. It's strange not working with DOS 6.22 where you can do so much more. But, it's okay not working on limits of WIN311. WINDOWS98 is a bit of a bugger. BUT, I'm getting by. Love Dan Gookin computer books. Why doesn't he have one on ADVANCED WINDOWS98?
