The American Civil War

This is Dealer's "American Civil War" or "War Between the States" history
page. This page contains historical information on the war that put
father against son, and brother against brother. I'm not looking disparaging
comments. I am from Alabama, and very well aware of opinions that exist
through North and South. My mother’s and father’s families were very
much part of this war. I lost 15 relatives at Gettysburg alone, (seven from
the 20th Maine and eight from the 15th Alabama). Who would know that
less than a hundred years later the two families would be joined by marriage.
