BACKGROUND INFO
|
This page best viewed with at least a 3 year old education.
(My 3 year old colored the background for this page.) (I worked with it a little.) (He's now 4 1/2 and says it's time to make a new picture.) (So sometime soon you should see a new masterpiece.) |
PRIVATE SCHOOLING
|
This page is morphing a little. Our oldest son is
going to a private school this school year. And our little one is already in a private German school. So I will be reporting their progress in the private schools here as well as maintaining homeschooling stuff. |
HOME SCHOOL PARENT
|
I loved being a homeschool teacher. Our thirteen
year old son did very well with the homeschool enviroment my wife and I had put together. I received a wonderful feeling whenever my son's eyes lit up when he reached a "moment of discovery" so many times during the day. It made for a really good learning experience for both my son and myself. I would like to hear from anyone else who is homeschooling or has homeschooled or is considering homeschooling. I know you're out there. Drop me an E-mail and maybe we could share our experiences. |
STATE TESTING ISN'T ALWAYS FUN
|
Our son finished his state testing and scored fairly high.
He even stated he was getting very tired near the end of the final testing period. But he made it through without falling asleep. (HE-HE) His mother and I are very proud of him. We gave him two weeks off for good behavior. (snicker) We homeschool year round, so when he gets some time off, he really enjoys it. He also made some new friends and is spending time with them when he gets the chance. |
COMPUTER PROGRAMS THAT REALLY HELP
|
My wife and I have found some really great computer programs
for homeschooling. Chris has been using them for quite some time. Multimedia Programs like: Vocabulary, Pre-algebra, Middle School Grammer, French, Term Paper, and English Composition. We also have more advanced ones like Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, High School Grammer and French II-III-IV. We also picked up a High School entrance exam book. He has been doing testing from it for three months. In June he has a state test he will be taking. We hope he does well. He took the test and came away with fantastic scores that put him in the top seven percent in the nation scholastically. |
