Loneliness
Sorrow
Empty as a sigh,
Grief, pain,
A hollow place
Within my heart,
Dreadful isolation,
Yearning for
Something never owned
Yet lost
Silence, yet no peace,
Too much quiet,
Stillness,
Too much to bear
Alone.
Eagle
There is an eagle in me
Soaring on wings of imagination
Through clouds of fear and doubt
Meek in appearance
An eagle within
In anger an eagle without
Images
The cry of an eagle high in the sky
Screaming defiance aloud
The shimmery silk of a spider's web
A kitten so easliy lost in a crowd
The infinite black of the midnight sky
A brilliant blue from
the depths of the sea
The strength of a winter storm
Each of these things is a part of me
What is the opposite of Freedom?
bars and bare walls
a door slamming and keys turning in a lock
mustiness and stale air
moaning and wailing
dust and rot
All Hallows Eve
Darkest Sorcery
Blood and Burning
Evil in Concealment
Now the Night is turning
Nearer draws
the midnight hour
The Dead are turning in the Grave
Witches flying - Evil Pow'r
As children pray, "...my soul to save."
"Embrace the Darkness!" cries the Mage
As Priests do shout, "Cling to the Light!"
All Hallows Eve o'ercomes the Earth,
The Dark is
gaining in the fight.
And just before all Hope should fly...
There.
In the barn the cock does cry.
Darkness flees
before the Sun.
But,
Elsewhere Night has just begun...
