good job so far.
Here's the Broken Records link; http://www.gospelcom.net/brokenrecords/profsetonedge.htm
We were also recently reviewed by Cool Bean's Christian Music, and independantly
run online music site, and though his writing isn't amazing, I'm excited
to say that he REALLY liked the c.d. Here's
the review;
set on edge: Sod Pottage Reviewed by Jeremy Raadt,

Set On Edge is a unique band that put copious amounts of effort into
their latest CD, Sod Pottage. This contemporary Christian band combines
excellent guitar with very good lyrics. Starting out with "Carry it
with Me" and then "A Little Like Time", they display their incredible
acoustic guitar and catchy rhythms that can be heard through out the
CD. These fast paced songs have good variety in it, which can really
get the head bobbing. In track 3, "Now that the Scales have Fallen",
is more of a calm song with great picking on the acoustic guitar. This
song is really relaxing. Their instrument talent is also very much displayed
in "Give Without Taking", "Evidence of Things Hoped For", and the un-named
track 7. In track 7 you can clearly hear the piano talent this band
has. It is just amazing. In "Summon the Rain", the lyrics are outstanding
but can sometimes become cluttered with the background voice. It's sometimes
hard to tell what is actually being sung. The lead vocal in "Rust" has
a similar sound to the lead singer of the band Skillet. The chorus of
"Rust" sounds very much like Skillets' "Gasoline" and has the same theme.
This smashing CD ends with a great song that just makes you smile. The
lyrics of "Allow Me To" are just unbelievable. It's amazing how much
talent this band can wrap up into just one CD. Most of the songs on
this 9 track CD, have very similar styles. Each of them is slightly
different but they all have they same type of style. Overall, though,
Set On Edge really did a great job at this CD and I cannot wait to see
wait they bust out on their next CD.
We are expecting reviews very soon in the Flagpole, Music Matters, the
Phantom Tollbooth, Raging Smolders, C.D. Shakedown, Puddlegum, and the
Post all within the next month or 2, so be on the lookout!
amen, and Amen,
