Anna was the sister of John Buchan JOHN BUCHAN
and was educated at
Hutchesons' Grammar School, Glasgow. She lived most
of her life at the family home, Bank House in Peebles, which is the model for "Priorsford" in novels such as "Penny Plain" (1920).
"Unforgettable, Unforgotten"
(1945) is a memoir of the
Buchan family, and "Farewell to Priorsford" (1950) is her autobiography.
