James Ballantine



Ballantine was born in Edinburgh, and worked as a house-painter before studying art at the Trustee's Gallery in Edinburgh, specialising in stained glass. He was commissioned to design the windows of the House of Lords. As a poet, Ballantine was associated with the Whistle Binkie school. He died in December 1877. AC
