Robert Graham |
Graham was born at Gartmore, Stirlingshire, and spent most of his life in Jamaica, where he was Receiver-General. He was Rector of Glasgow University in 1785 and Member of Parliament for Stirlingshire. His songs include "0 tell me how to woo thee" ("If doughty deeds my lady please"). His grandson was Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham, who wrote his biography, "Doughty Deeds" (1925).
