| This old light house has been built on the top of a rock that is carved into a temple called the Mahishasuramardini Mandapa. There is a difference in the structure and pillars of this cave temple. These pillars are cylindrical and have no carvings on them except the scollups on the top arches. It's a pity that the complete lighthouse and temple cannot be seen in this photo. The light house itself is a temple and logs of wood were burnt so as to give a light to all around for miles. |
