The first step in spell-casting is to figure out exactly what you want to accomplish.
This can be a lot trickier than it sounds. You need to be very specific in what it is you want and after some soul-searching, sometimes you find that what you really want isn't at all what you thought it was.
However, even though you think you know exactly whom you want to have love you, you need to beware of casting love spells aimed at bending someone to your will. Bad thing. Avoid it. (Besides the moral issue, there are horror stories about people binding someone to themselves and when the partner turned out to be bad news, they couldn't get rid of them!)
Instead, spend some time figuring out exactly how you want to feel in a relationship. Decide what qualities you'd like to find in a partner and why those qualities are important. Maybe your first impulse is to say, they've got to be rich, but it's probably not the money you want but what you can do with the money. Maybe you want to travel and have adventures -- you can do that without being rich -- so concentrate instead on someone who likes to explore and share new things.
In a love relationship, do you want to have feelings of security or passion or gentleness? Adventure or stability? If you can understand these things about yourself, you may find that some of the qualities you thought you wanted in a partner are secondary to the ones which will truly bring about the feelings you desire.
Really take some time and work through this step because if you don't know what your true goal is, you may accomplish your intended goal and still not be satisfied. This is why a lot of people who seem to "have it all" aren't really happy. They thought their goal was fame and fortune and when they got it, they still didn't find the love or acceptance or peace of mind which was their true desire.
As far as how your goal will be achieved, don't worry about it. Your
job is to figure out your goal. Let the God/dess decide how best
to achieve it. If you've spent the time to understand yourself and
your needs, the God/dess will bring the right person to you. Remember
that it's up to you, however, to keep your eyes open so you'll be
ready to accept the opportunity when the God/dess gives it to you.
