Well, I wrote the wrong poem. Now I must start new,
And tomorrow is when this assignment is due.
"It has to be about school" I found out this morning,
Though the first poem I wrote was far from boring.
So you'll hear of my school day and the classes I take
Now listen up well, it's for your own sake!
I start out the day in Chemistry II.
Mr. Earnest is there, and he makes us do
Dangerous labs that might kill us all
Like making weird gak we bounce off the wall.
Government class is where Mr. Bennett rules,
And we talk about all those democratic fools.
No, just kidding, some are pretty neat
Except for one man, and he's a real cheat!
In English we have a whole lot of fun,
And Mrs. Herring's the teacher that's number one!
Sometimes we wonder about that poofy hair,
And what kind of gel can keep it up there.
Then I'm assistant to Mrs. Haviland.
To Mrs. Herring and McDuffee I also do tend.
I've also helped Mrs. Melson, Hull, and Dosh.
Who knew a person could do so much? Gosh!
Next with Alaina and Shannon I have lunch.
Sometimes we talk and laugh a whole bunch.
We get weird looks from Mr. Terry Martin
Who must wonder what is it we mix in milk cartons.
After lunch, trigonometry is where I go
With Mrs. Dunlap and DiDanato.
Sine and cosine and all that stuff
Gives me a headache, but makes my brain buff.
Then it is off to psychology
(Better spell that right, Mrs. Burnett's marked it wrong on me!)
We learn about things that makes our minds tick,
And we once watched a movie that was kind of sick.
The last hour of the day Mr. Lamb directs the band.
Sometimes we're scared he'll throw that baton in his hand!
We once had a substitute that broke it before
And almost sent a flute player down to the floor!
Well that's all for my long day at school
I hope that you think this poem's pretty cool,
Mrs. Herring just might make me write it again.
Sometimes I'm sure that I just cannot win!
