Wholesome Nudity
My Thoughts on Social Nudism
Are you starved for nudity? How would you react to a person scantily clothed if you were used to seeing completely nude people all of your life? Would you be inflamed with sexual desire, or would you think to yourself, "Oh, there's an almost nude person.. Now when is the ball game coming on?" What would be the scenario if you had never seen another person nude?
If your mom and dad took you to the beach, took off their clothes, then took off your clothes -- set you free -- what would you have done? Had fun! If this had happened to you from the time you were a baby, you would have grown up seeing nude people of all ages -- before and after puberty. Brothers, sisters, mother and father. You probably would have asked at least once, what is the difference between me and my brother/sister, and asked what breasts are as a child. Your parents would have answered without embarassment and you would have learned that your body isn't dirty. Nudity would be no big deal. You would have had a home-based sex education class.
What would have happened if -- having grown up frequently nude with your family -- that someone showed you a pornographic magazine? You probably would not care to see it since you knew what wholesome nudity is -- and pornography is NOT wholesome nudity! And if someone in the neighborhood wanted to play 'doctor', would you even care to participate? Of course not! Your curiosity was long ago satisfied in the right manner.
Wouldn't you want to be like that? What about your children?
But if you grew up swimming with a swimsuit on at all times, totally ashamed of your body because of your upbringing, what would be your reaction? Very different..
FOR THE GUYS:
In school or in public, if you saw a woman with 80% of her breasts showing, would it sexually exciting to you or would you just casually notice? If you GREW UP SEEING breasts MOST OF THE TIME before, it would be no big deal. You learn that since every other person has breasts its
no big deal.
FOR THE GALS:
Would you get upset if your husband noticed another woman who had 80% of her breasts showing? This regularly happens in public at shopping malls, restaurants, etc. If your husband is used to seeing nude people, it would be a very minimal distraction. In about thirty seconds (or less), your husband will return to reality.. If he isn't, the distraction will probably last longer.
To tell the truth, if your husband did NOT notice it, he's either pretending he didn't notice it because of a religious upbringing, or he's DEAD!!! Even if you know that he notices other women does not make him a pervert! Its entirely normal! If he stops noticing other women, then you have a problem!
Because our American culture equates simple nudity with sex, it is no wonder that we as Americans have such a problem. This leads to contradictory thinking. "Its not okay to show yourself nude to anyone EXCEPT your doctor and your spouse." Conditions like this are NOT in the Bible! Either its okay to be nude in front of someone else or its not. What makes showing yourself nude to a doctor NOT a sexual situation and a sexual situation at a beach or resort?
When we equate nudity (or partial nudity) with sex, we cannot go out in public without being
stimulated sexually because of current dress styles and what is allowed to women in public.
When you watch tv you will have the same problem. Its something I don't like, but until
someone does something about it, advertisers will continue to use sex to sell stuff.
Wouldn't it be nice if this exposure would only cause casual distraction? Wouldn't it be nice
if wives could realize what is the difference between gawking and (normal) casual distraction? (Would any of you ladies give me your opinion of this, please? E-mail at bottom of main page.)
Will somebody hand me the envelope, please?....
What is the solution? Experience social nudism often with others of like mind and build up an resistance to problems we have in this culture as Americans. Then get on with the rest of your life.
