More Mondegreens
More from popular songs: How about that old Spanish Christmas carol "Police Naughty Dog.'' or the Stevie Wonder song "Talk With God,'' which contains the line "When you feel life's too hard, just go have a talk with God.'' some have heard it as, "When you feel life's too hard, go have a chocolate bar.'' (some may find this a god choice too — but the talk with God is much more effective and eternal) Then from another from a song I've never heard: Stairway to Heaven'' by Led Zeppelin, "As we wind on down the road, our shadows taller than our souls,'' is sometimes heard as "And there's a wino down the road; I should have stolen Oreos.'' How about the Roberta Flack song "Killing Me Softly With Insults.'' or the line "She's got Bette Davis eyes'' heard as "She's got 30 days to die.'' Then there is a line from the Merilee Rush song "Angel of the Morning'' heard as "Just call me angel of the morning, angel; just brush my teeth before you leave me.'' The actual line is "just brush my cheek.'' I promise - I'll not bore you with any more after this weekend – for a while. |
