| January 1, 1998 | Happy New Year! We finally got the Bubble Gum Vendor COB to work, with lots of help from Sandra Linkletter and Alexander Laemmle. One of the best fringe benefits of the Creatures game is that we have met such nice people over the Internet. |
| January 3, 1998 | Now that we know how to write the scripts for vendors, we can fix our other vendor COBs that we have been struggling with for a while. Our FAX machine and Toy vendor COBs are almost ready. |
| January 8, 1998 | Our Dad doesn't play with the Creatures game, but he contibuted some jokes for the FAX machine. Ugh! Our Dad tells very corny jokes. Don't say we didn't warn you! |
| January 9, 1998 | The decorations in the 1997 Christmas Pack were nice, so we copied the scripts and changed the sprites so that the Norns and Grendels can have some Springtime decorations. |
| January 12, 1998 | There are lots of new things at Slink's Burrow. There are Many-Colored Grendels and a special world where Grendels can beed. There's also a new kind of Norn, but they are a little too rough to get along with our sheltered, pampered Norns. |
| January 15, 1998 | We got our first computer one year ago. Our Dad bought a scanner for our computer's First Anniversary present. (We love our computers so much that they are almost like members of the family.) We have to learn how to use the scanner first, but as soon as we do, we have lots of ideas for new COBs. |
| January 22, 1998 | In case you haven't noticed yet, we are great fans of Alexander Laemmle. His Beowolf Home Page has moved to a new URL. Remember to change your bookmarks. A newer version of CGM is available for download on his new website. |
| January 22, 1998 | ¿Habla usted Español? There is a Spanish Super Speech Toy at Norns Spain. Now you can teach your Norns and Grendels how to speak Spanish. |
| January 23, 1998 | Our friend, David, had a great idea for a new COB. How about a Beanie Baby Vendor! We're working on it. |
| January 27, 1998 | It is a lot harder than we thought, but Alexander Laemmle is teaching us how to make movable vendors. We are having trouble getting the vendor to dispense things no matter where the vendor is. |
| January 28, 1998 | Today we bred a 44-lobed Norn with the new version of CGM. The Norn was fine until we exported her. Now we can't import her back in. : ( |
| January 30, 1998 | We have written a maudlin tale about Creatures. We have some other stories, too, but there isn't enough space on the website to put them up yet. |
| February 2, 1998 | We got a Valentine's Day cookie for our friend, David. We scanned it and made it into a COB. We weren't planning to give it to anyone else, but we changed our mind and put it on the website so that everyone can enjoy it. Happy Valentine's Day to all of you, and all of your Norns and Grendels. : ) |
| February 4, 1998 | Are your Norns bored? Our Norns seem to get bored so easily. They need a hobby. We have some rocks and crystals, so we are taking pictures of them on the scanner, and we hope to make them into a Rock Collection COB soon. |
| February 7, 1998 | Our Grandma and Grandpa gave us some Strudel pastries. They are delicious. We thought our Creatures would like some, so we put them on the scanner to see if they can be made into COBs. Fortunately it occurred to us to seal them in ziploc bags first, otherwise we could have ended up grounded for the rest of the year. |

| February 10, 1998 | We are working on new sprites for the Beanie Baby vendor. Soon the Creatures will be able to collect lots of Beanies! |

| February 19, 1998 | Lots of people have been sending us their Norns. We will try to put as many of them on the site as possible, but our site is awfully crowded already. If you would like to send us your Norn, please include a picture. Once in a while the Norns look different on our computer than on other computers. |
| February 25, 1998 | Some of our pages were getting boring so we changed a few of the pictures. Several people e-mailed us asking why the Norns look funny. Those are the new Ron and Forest Norns from Life Kit #1. You can buy the kit at software stores or order it online from the Mindscape site. |
| March 3, 1998 | There are lots of new Creatures Webrings popping up. We joined a couple of new ones and moved the webrings to a new page. Now the truly addicted can go surfing from site to site all day. |
| March 4, 1998 | Sob! The Small Creatures COBs site will be closing soon. It's one of the best Creatures sites. We're sure going to miss it. But best wishes to Stefan Kuske. Thanks for all those great COBs and good luck on your new adventures. |

| March 9, 1998 | A while ago we downloaded a program called Norn Pose, but we could never get it to work, so we gave up on it. Thanks to Aurora for encouraging us to pursue the matter, and especially to SteerPike for generously providing us with that elusive cmdialog file, now Norn Pose works! |

| March 28, 1998 | Someone e-mailed us that they got a virus, and they think they may have picked it up from a Creatures site. Now, we all *know* that anyone who loves Creatures is not the type of person who would put a virus in their files, but it could have snuck in there without anyone knowing, so please be extra careful whenever you download anything. |
| April 6, 1998 | Hahaha! Take a look at the Grorns! Better than Grenorns and Norndels, these really look like part Norn and part Grendel! Plus, they are selectable, and they show up on the Observation Kit. Thanks to Lis who created them, and Pool Shark who brought them to our attention. | April 8, 1998 | We are mourning the demise of one of our favorite sites, SteerPike's Curiosity Shoppe. SteerPike was always very nice and helpful to us, and all of the Creatures fans we have encountered have been friendly and polite, so we were shocked to read about the terrible incidents that led to the closing of his site. ( If you haven't seen it yet, go to the Webmaster's Pit at TheNorn Underground) We sincerely hope that it is not true that the Creatures community is going downhill. Don't let a few obnoxious people spoil everything. |

We are tentatively scheduling Norn Day for May 23, but if you have other plans that day, you can celebrate your Norn and Grendel Day on any day. |

| May 14, 1998 | We have gotten some requests for "normal" Norns without extra lobes or mutations and no wierd genes for those who don't have Life Kit, Santa Norns, Bunny Norns, or Grorns. Most of our Norns have lots of wierd stuff in them, so we went back to the hatchery and hatched out some ordinary eggs. So, if any of you ran out of eggs and need more regular Norns, here they are. |
| May 18, 1998 | The response to Norn Day has been good. We made a special page to put up everyone's Norns, Grendels and stories. We'll put up as many as we can, but send yours in early...Did you see the Amazing Facts on the CyberLife site?
