Bride of Frankenstein

by melissa miller

To my dismay,
Things don't always go my way,
The excruciating pain
runs freely in my veins
& corrupts my thoughts with
images insane.
Frustration suffocates all attempts
to live,
It is me
to you
that I completely give.
That you can't take me completely,
only discreetly,
Is ever so shallow & meekly,
& yet I continue,
ever so sweetly,
I must be a little freaky.
