Expected Daydreams

by Chris Gallardo

When life mixes our tides, fears, and loneliness
Inside we can not shout to break the silence
When life pursues to dare the realities or dreams
Inside we can not choose what we will be

When we are ready for these fights
But they will not let us in
What will we do if this happen?
Be strong life is like that

*Sometime we expect things too much
But sometimes they fade and leave us
Sometimes these things will damn fool us
But we must go on with our own lives

Sometimes we expect things too much
But sometimes they fade and leave us
Sometimes they will return to lure us
And never be performed again

When daydreams seize our mind, body and soul
We fly like in heavens and circling around
But dreams turn to nightmares like in movies we see
Hold still, face it and we will get through

When we are ready for this fights
But they will hold us back
Be loud for them to see
The truth in your heart
