Why must we be apart?
I know the answer, but wish I didn't.

Not being able to sat how we feel, just looking into each others eyes as we prestend there is nothing there,
when really we long to hold one another and feel the love we must keep a secret.

Why can't we say how we feel?

You posses the warmth and compassion that was missing in my soul for so long.
You are the light that shines bright in the darkness of my life.

Why can't we be together?
I know the answer, but wish I didn't.

The answer is me.

It all depends on a leap of faith.
Not for the love I feel for you, but the love I must feel for myself to be
brave enough to leave my past behind.

Then and only then can I go to the light, the warmth of your love.
Where I will find you standing with open arms to hold me ans a shoulder to cry on.

A shoulder that has always been there for me.
