Wedding Vow

by Jeff Adams

Let us kiss the face of Love
With the innocent lips of youth
With wisdom's open eyes
Seek each others words of truth
With the pliable skin of experience
We'll weather life's violent storms
And sing a song of love
As empty hearts take on new form
On empowered wings of honesty
We'll escape this world of lies
To write a symphony of freedom
As sweet echoes harmonize
Through each joyful day we live
We will build a bridge of trust
And by shining through in what we give
Watch lonliness
turn to dust
And these words will be fulfilled
When you become my wife
My heart of hearts is yours to keep
My love for love-
My life for life.
