Admiral Lord Nelson and the HMS Victory have been the subject of some commemorative stamps.

My favorite, although obviously fictitious story about Nelson.

At the height of his career, Nelson was the role-model for every young officer in the British Fleet. His every mannerism, gesture, and form of behavior were copied by them. They noticed that upon arising each morning, Nelson would go to the bulkhead of his cabin, open a small wall safe, and extract a piece of paper from it. He would carefully unfold the paper, read it very studiously, then refold it, return it to the safe, and lock the safe. This was a ritual repeated every morning. All the young officers wondered about the message on the piece of paper - what great inspiration was there to motivate Nelson? After Trafalgar when Nelson was dead, one of the first things they did was to break open the safe and read the paper. On it were these words:

"Port is left, and Starboard is right."
