Born: Chicago,IL, 15 June 1941 at St. Bernard's Hospital.

First Home: 6551 Kenwood, Chicago - No longer exists. Victim to urban blight.(Read into that what you will)

First School: St. Cyril's Catholic School, grades 1 - 6.

Moved to Matteson IL (South of Chicago) at age 11.

School: Matteson Elementary.

First job: Clean up boy, Hi-lo Hardware, Matteson - Age 12!!!

High School: Rich Township, Park Forest, Il - 1955-59

Stock boy, Furniture Department, Marshall Field's & Co.

Illinois Central Railroad - Freight Claims Dept. '59-'60

US Army - Ft. Leonard Wood MO, Ft. Sam Houston TX, Valley Forge Gen. Hospital PA, Ft. Bragg, NC, Letterman General Hospital, San Francisco, CA. Discharged 1963 as Sgt. (E-5)

Married Judith Hornyak 17 May, 1963.

Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), 1963-'67. BA History

Commissioned 2nd Lt., USAF - Guthrie AFS WV, Hancock Field Syracuse NY, Nakhon Phanom RTAFB Thailand, Hq. European Communications Area, Wiesbaden Germany, Grand Forks AFB ND. Discharged as Captain, 1974. Nominated for Bronze Star.

MA Counseling Psychology, Ball State University, 1972.

Moved to Phoenix AZ 1978.

As a Scout Leader, I was a proud member of Order of the Arrow.

I'm Joshua and Rebekah's Grandpa, as well as Daniel's "Panga" - his old pet name for me, and Megan's "Pop-Pop" ( her petname for me).
