Balefire A fire lit for magical purposes, usually outdoors.

Bane That which destroys life. Poisonous, evil, dangerous.

Bell In some traditions, a bell is rung to alert the Quarters prior to invoking the elemental powers. It is usually a small hand bell.

Beltane A Wiccan festival celebrated April 30th or May 1st (Northern hemisphere). Beltane is also known as May Eve, Roodmas, Walpurgis Night, Cethsamhain. Beltane celebrates the symbolic union, mating or marriage of the Goddess and God, and links in with the approching summer months.

Bessom A broom used for sweeping and cleansing of sacred space.

Bind To magickaly restrain someone or something.

Bolline A white-handled knife, used in magick and Wiccan rituals for cutting and slicing things such as herbs.

Book of Shadows A Wiccan book of rituals, spells, dreams, herbal recipies, magickal lore etc. The contents can be anything that is of relevance to its owner.

Burning Times Refers to a period in history when people, deemed as "evil" for practicing witchcraft, were persecuted and burned at the stake by christian church members. It is estimated that over 9 million people were tortured and murdered.
