Numerology is normally associated with the ancient philosopher, Pythagoras, who is
considered to be the Father of mathematics. (But of this I am not sure)
This is one of the quickest and easiest ways
of using numerology.
Remember of course, that there are many ways
of using numbers to get a reading. I will show you one of the simplest
ways.
In this example each letter of
the alphabet is represented by a number between 1 and 9 as follows:

9 + 7 = 16
8 + 6 = 14
9 + (nothing = 9

pair of numbers again:
5 + 7 = 12
5 + 1 = 6
6 + 1 = 7
4 + 9 = 13
We now have the following sequence

1 + 3 = 4

pair of numbers again:

Repeat the addition of every
pair of numbers again:
4 + 7 = 11
O.K. We stop at this point now,
because the number 11 is of special significance as are the numbers 22
and 33. (You would normaly keep repeating the process until you reach a
single digit or one of these special numbers.)
As easy as that !
Well not quite... We still have
to interpret what each number represents.
Here is a list of numbers and
some of their meanings:

Here's another, quicker way to
do it:
Take the initial set of numbers
and add all of the digits together.
5+9+3+3+9+1+4+1+8+1+2+5+1+7+5+1+9
= 74
Repeat this process until you
reach either a single digit or the number 11, 22 or 33.
7+4 = 11
And don't think that numerology
can only be used on peoples names. Here are a few other examples of how
numerology can be used:
Add the number of your bithday together. e.g. if you were born on July 4th 1968 and today
was December 18th 1997, we would proceed as follows:
1968070419971218 (your birth year,month,day and todays year,month,day)
Add the numbers according to the formula I showed you.
You should arrive at the number 1.
Meaning: Today is the day to start something new and inventive
