Nothing's gonna stop us now

It was American civil rights activist, John W. Gardner who said;
This concept can be seen in the story of the farmer who build his barn too close to the river on his property so that it flooded every year during the rainy season. If the barn could only be moved 15 meters, it would no longer flood. However, the logistics of getting a huge crane in rendered the task impossible. The farmers son figured out that 345 handles placed strategically around the barn would only require each handle to take on 25 kilograms of weight. With a little effort from many people, what seemed to be impossible became a reality, or also known as a miracle. The miracle in the end wasn't the moving of the barn. Rather, it was the 345 local volunteers who came to help the farmer move this 8 tonne obstacle. Can you imagine the sound of the cheer when they set the barn down in its new location, out of harms way!

A positive attitude can be hard to maintain, particularly when facing tough decisions. However, we must be careful not let any perceived negatives in a situation cause us to lose sight of the positives. The bible is full of people who, throughout history, struggled to trust in God's promises and hold onto a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Rather than letting potential difficulties hold us back, we need to develop an attitude open to God's power to help and guide us.
