Controlling the Elements is not as hard as one might imagine it to be. Each element
has a specific color and property associated with it. If one is
serious on learning how to control the elements take the time to
study and practice the directions given below. Knowing how to control the elements
can come in very handy especially if a Tornadoe or flood is heading
towards you.
Elemat--Color--Direction--Properties
Air--yellow--East--warm & moist
Fire--red--South--warm & dry
Water--blue--West--cool & moist
Earth--brown--North--cool & dry

Basically, you use the element of Air to work with the Slyphs who control the weather. The
Slyphs are not overly friendly with humans, be patient and considerant
of them. To help in your workings offer them some sweet smelling
incense, before this working. It may help them feel more comfortable
around you.
Now, just surround yourself with a ball of energy of the appropriate
color(see list above) and imagine the qualities throughout your aura.
See them, feel them, be one with them. Listen to them and see if
you can make out any language.

Be patient, DON'T DEMAND, but ask, Elemental spirits are extremely
touchy, so if you expect for help from them in the future, be nice.
The most effective means of rasing winds, especially for sailing, is to carry a knotted string, usually with 3 knots which are gradually loosened as stronger winds are desired.
To bring rain: beat a broom upon the river and then shake it at the sky
to stop rain or storm: Bury a cup, preferably metal or bass, in order to stop heavy rain and bring fair weather.
Gather oak leaves in a man's shirt and when its full hang it on a tree; a wind springs up directly that drives all rain away, and keeps the weather fair.
To raise a storm:
Dip a rag into water and beat it 3 times on a stone: " I knock this rag upon this stone To raise the wind in the devil's name It shall not lye till I please again"
