To learn about the USGenWeb Project, check out About the USGenWeb Project , the The USGenWeb FAQs , and the USGenWeb Project Whitepaper . (This last one will send you information in an email.)
To continue your genealogical research, you can go to USGenWeb Main Page , and once there, click on the State you want to do research in. Once in that States Main Page, there is State-wide information for you, but you can also go down another level to the County Level to gether more information, and to check out and/or leave queries on the people that you are researching. You can also go the the HTTP or the FTP USGenWeb Archives. Here as well, everything is split into state and county levels. There are all kinds of files here, so don't neglect them.
Last, but not least, the newest portion of the project is the WorldGenWeb , where each country has a setup like the county pages of the USGenWeb.
The complete project is great for those who are having trouble getting started or getting past a block in their research. Check it out.
I am the County Coordinator for Boone County, NE , and one of the NE USGenWeb Archive Coordinators.
