9. Peel away the paper backing after the piece has cooled. 

10. You now have a perfectly formed piece ready for appliqué. The freezer paper pattern may be reused several times. Appliqué this piece on to the quilt background by taking very small stitches catching 2 or 3 threads on the edge of the appliqué piece. Be sure to use thread which matches the piece being applied.
