QBasic or QuickBasic?

Somewhere around 1982, I inherited a ZX-81 computer. It looked rather like an overgrown calculator with a pressure-pad keyboard. It was hard work to type anything into it and the keywords for its BASIC were available on a single key press. Since that machine, I have gone through a multitude of machines with different versions of BASIC (For what I have owned/used, click HERE). I have to admit I've forgotten much of the features each machine had, but until 1996, none were PCs. It was at that time, I found QBasic and soon translated a few of the simple programs I had written on some of the earlier machines to run on the PC. Most were for my own use in solving crosswords as trying to remember all the info in the programs gave me a headache. From QBasic I gave gone to QB4.5 which allows compilation into DOS programs making them more portable. Using little memory, they are easy to store on 2 or 3 floppy disks and thus transport to another machine. Try clicking on the link below if you are interested in QuickBasic and don't want to continue with QBasic.

Tired of QBasic then try QuickBasic (QB4.5)
