Sickness in the workplace is now becoming a way of life. Certainly since starting work with a Local Council my eyes have been opened as to the large amount of sickness that occurs. Until recently, it was considered as part of ones leave entitlement to take your 'allowed' sick leave whether truly sick or not.
 

Could it really be that people are truly sick more on Mondays and Fridays than any other days of the week, and are week-ends spent in ones sick bed between the Friday and Monday? Judging by the numbers of people and vehicles around at week-ends it seems highly unlikely.
