On 2000 July 02, the Band participated in the re-dedication ceremony for the Lt. H.H. Owen Memorial at Crescent Beach. Other participants included a Colour Party from the Royal Canadian Legion, an Honour Guard and Firing Party from The British Columbia Regiment, and an Honour Guard from the 2290 Cadets.

Following the ceremony, the Royal Canadian Legion, Crescent Beach Branch 240, graciously hosted the Band for refreshments. The Band performed a brief impromptu concert in recognition of the Legion's hospitality.
