INTRO: You learned that the lithosphere of our planet is made of large masses of rock called tectonic plates. These plates move. Features form at the edges of the plates from the activity that occurs at these plate boundaries.
PURPOSE: This Project will enable you to learn about one type of tectonic feature in greater depth than is possible during the regular course. While increasing the depth of your learning, you will also create a resource (presentation or booklet or web page) to help other students.
PROCESS:
- You will pick your own research Team of three students. The Teams do not necessarily have to be made up of students from the same class (but that would make your life easier).
- The Teams will be assigned to a particular feature at random.
You will work together to plan your research, decide on a Research Product format assign tasks and create a Research Product.
- The Research Product will be used by all students to review for their Test.
- Grading will be based on the criteria below.
GRADING: This Project will be weighted the same as two lab reports, and will be averaged in with the lab grades.
