The Mars Rovers

Take notes on the topics below during the class presentation. For homework, complete these notes using other sources. You will use these notes to compare and contrast the Rover mission with a different spacecraft.

1. The Spacecraft: What are the dimensions of the machines, their equipment and instruments,  propulsion system, power supply,  cost,  cost per US citizen, who manufactured them and where?

2. The Mission: When and how where they launched, how fast did they go, where did it go (directly or around the Sun and other planets first), how long did it take to get there, what did it do when it got there, what were the problems it had and how were they solved, what unexpected opportunities arose?

3. The Discoveries: What were they sent to discover, and what did they actually discover?
