Personal Comment: This is a purely mathematical problem.

2 Numbers Enigma

What we know: We are given 2 numbers. One larger and one smaller. If we subtract half of the smaller number from both numbers then the resultant larger number is 3 times larger as large as the resultant with the orignianl smaller and its half.

Enigma: How many times is the original larger number bigger than the original smaller number?

Solution: Twice as large. Cut half of the smaller number m. The smaller number minus m is m. The larger number minus m is 3m. Then the smaller number is m + m = 2m . The larger number is 3m + m = 4m .
